Set up in 1989, Dataprint was originally a screen print and lithographic business predominantly to the the trade signage industry. We then progressed to vinyl cut graphics for vehicles and fascia signs and moved quickly into undertaking extensive repro and brochure work.
In 1995 the 'shop' was opened in addition to our factory. This introduced us to the world of short run digital printing allowing fast turnarounds, reduced costs and shorter runs on such items such as business cards and business stationery. Potential was rapidly realised with the introduction of our Xerox and Canon equipment which we further added to in the way of our first large format machine (work which had currently been outsourced).
In 1998 computers and digital equipment took over and a move was needed to larger premises for the shop due to the way our business had turned (from traditional to digital). Further investment was made into solvent format printing allowing photographic external prints onto uncoated substrates such as vinyls and banners and in 2002 yet another move was made into our current position.
A huge increase in the digital print market produced a need for heavy investment which saw the installation of our first colour production press and further funding into our repro department saw the need for upto date machinery, layout and editing programs. This, in subsequent years, has been a standing point in respect to acknowledging the need to keep constantly invest in the latest equipment.
In 2007 we now stand in a position to offer the latest in digital printing, variable data, exhibition design and production yet still retaining control of our screen and litho roots.
